This is it! The Marshall 1959SLP 100-watt Super Lead Plexiglas, head of the late ’60s/early ’70s, as used by countless classic bands has been re-issued in all of its glory. The 1959SLP has been in production since the late 60s but with various electrical and cosmetic changes happening along the way. The models produced in the late 1960s/early 1970s however, were the ones that most tone gurus regarded as the finest examples. After much searching Marshall managed to track down 2 amps from this period that were the finest they’d heard, packed with all the tone and rich velvet overdrive. They gave these 2 tone monsters to their guitar-playing R&D experts and left them to create a re-issue that was so authentic that they couldn’t tell the difference. They succeeded beyond their wildest dreams — the 1959SLP re-issue came to life!

The Marshall re-issue models all are faithful reproductions of the originals, which shaped the sound of electric guitar as we know it. The main characteristic that these amps share is their simplicity of operation and superb natural valve tone. Achieving the beautifully organic and vibrant overdrive, which is their trademark, can only be done in one way – crank ‘em up! The result is pure, majestic tone uncluttered by unnecessary circuitry. With solos this produces a big, round, warm, sustain, full of classic character. Back by popular demand, the MXR M-117R Flanger as Randy Rhoads used creates a variety of wild sounds from dynamic jet plane or cool space effects to short delay, chorus, and vibrato. You have complete control of the filter so you can sculpt the sound you want. Back off the Width setting to zero to disengage auto-sweep, then use the Manual knob to physically place the effect anywhere along the frequency spectrum! Use with guitar, bass, keyboards, and vocals.

The M-117R effects pedal has 4 knobs and a footswitch. The footswitch toggles the flanger effect on/bypass (red LED indicates on). The Manual knob selects the frequency center of the effect when auto-sweep is disengaged. The Width knob at zero disengages auto-sweep, but when you rotate it clockwise, it increases the total phase sweep of the effect. The Speed knob modulates rate of effect. The Regen knob feeds the effect back onto itself at adjustable intensity, increasing the total phase effect.

The 1982 death of Randy Rhoads was a crushing blow for Ozzy Osbourne–not only did he lose one of the very best rock guitarists of all time, but he lost a dear friend, song collaborator, and a founding member of his solo band. But to Ozzy’s credit, he somehow summoned the strength to soldier on. For his first studio album since Randy’s death, 1983′s BARK AT THE MOON, Osbourne discovered another gifted young player from California, Jake E. Lee.

The album was another big hit, and eventually reached platinum certification. The album’s accompanying tour, which featured openers Motley Crue, was a success as well. The album opening title track has become a fan favorite and concert staple over the years, and remains one of Ozzy’s most furious rockers. Other highlights include “Rock n’ Roll Rebel,” as well as the gothic “Centre of Eternity,” and a surprisingly gentle, string-laden ballad, “So Tired.” And while melody is stressed on such compositions as “You’re No Different” and “Waiting for Darkness,” other selections like “Now You See It (Now You Don’t)” and “Slow Down” have more of a heavy metal sound. Featured as a bonus track on the ’95 CD remaster is the rarity “Spiders in the Night.”

There’s nothing Micro about Zakk Wylde, but even Zakk doesn’t always haul his full-sized Marshall everywhere he goes – like backstage to warm up.

This 15W head and 2 x 8″ speaker cabinets create a stack that is only 15″W x 37″H x 9″D, but the Marshall MG15MSZW Micro Stack puts out a tone that’s far from miniature.

The head has all the standard MG features: control for clean volume; overdrive gain and volume; reverb level; and 3-way EQ with bass, treble, and a contour that lets you fine-tune the mids. It also boasts a CD input, an emulated line out, and a headphone jack that mutes the speakers.

Conceived by Dr. Jim Marshall after he and Zakk had shared a few whiskeys, this Zakk Wylde version of the Micro Stack sports salt & pepper grille cloth and a custom Zakk control panel with the famous bullseye pattern. The Zakk Wylde Micro Stack is a Limited Edition. Marshall is slated to make a total of 1400 for the USA, and we’ve managed to secure 750 of these for our customers, but I wouldn’t wait if I were you.
